 Special issue on Air Transportation

Call for Papers

TRANSPORTES is the official journal of the Brazilian Association of Transportation Research and Education (ANPET). It publishes about four issues per year with material based on ANPET related conferences and other local events. The journal is classified by Brazilian Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) as QUALIS B1 (the best one in Brazilian transportation). In order to divulgate the Brazilian research experience to international community, the editor of TRANSPORTES started recently to produce special issues in English. This edition about Air Transportation is one of them.

Air transportation activities including air traffic have been increasing steadily with strong growth perspectives for the future. Then important research efforts are developed to face capacity and safety issues in air by the scientific community with the realization of important research and development programs such as NextGen of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in USA, SESAR for EuroControl in Europe and SIRIUS for the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA) in Brazil. It is time to show by a special issue in TRANSPORTES the achievements of Brazilian researchers in the field of air transportation.
